Kill Your Idols 2/2: The NFL, Sony, and many of your local college professors seem to pretty obviously hate God, love men's wicked ways, and eagerly promote things hateful to God like homosexuality and abortion. But don't get too cozy with the milquetoast "Christian" organizations like Focus on the Family, either. They'll cheerfully tell you how "just $60 can save a child's life!" when you donate to them. But your $60 encourages a shamefully weak and often un-Christian witness on abortion. In the 17 years they claim to have saved 465,665 babies, American mothers willfully murdered anywhere between 12 million and 16 million children in the womb.

Focus on the Family's own math hints that they've expended about $28 million dollars on ultrasound equipment and training, with about a 3% success rate at saving babies. Can you imagine what actual abolitionists could have accomplished with even a fraction of that money?

Day 320: Today was day 320 out of the 15 days we were told were necessary to "slow the spread" of coronavirus. Just sayin'.

Kill Your Idols 1/2: Beloved Christian brother or sister, 2020 was our harshest reminder yet that you and I have a lot of idols to kill. For example: politics, professional sports, social media, public schools, college, our kids' obsession with Disney and superheroes, etc. These idols are being used against you to turn you and your loved ones away from Jesus, the Bible, and God's law. In the worst cases, they outright propagandize you and shame you if you're not all-in with abortion, gay "marriage," casual sex, easy divorce, playing the pronouns game, and genuflecting to every supposed "public health" official.

Adjust your wording: As Dr. James White mentioned when he highlighted this tweet from @elianasrubin, this is Psalm 12:8 fulfilled:

Hi President Biden! Thank you so much for doing this. I'm wondering if you could adjust your wording from "women's healthcare" to "healthcare for people who get pregnant and bleed". I am a (trans) woman, but don't need these services. Thank you for your work!

Lukewarm: A tweet from @rhett_burns:

God: Wine
Us: Welch’s
God: Father-rule
Us: Hmm, we can do a soft complementarianism.
God: Preach, proclaim, herald!
Us: What if we just shared the Gospel?
God: Disciple the nations.
Us: Christian nationalism sounds yucky
God: Obey.
Us: It’s a relationship, not a religion.

The state of fatherhood in America: Something I saw today sums it up pretty well: a man, walking with his 6 or 7 year old daughter, and wearing a shirt that says "I DON'T GIVE A F--K" in giant print. As go the men, so goes the family, so goes the church, and so goes the culture...

The real war:

Christianity cannot coexist in a world community with relative morality as its basis... The real war being waged is a great spiritual war ‒ God's Word versus autonomous human reasoning, Christian absolutes (built on the Bible) versus moral relativism (man determining his own rules). Sadly, today many Christians fail to win the war because they fail to recognize the real nature of the battle. (Ken Ham, The Lie, p.34)

Humanity hasn't gotten any better: The fundamental problem for fallen men and women in every age is we want to be mini-gods unto ourselves. We may not say it in so many words, but how else would you describe the evils and perversions of the world around us in America today? God designed sex and marriage, but many want casual sex in high school, easy divorce, and adultery. God designed gender, but many want to lie and force others to lie with them by changing their pronouns. God designed parenthood, but many would rather have abortions, play video games, or focus on accumulating wealth. God said "thou shalt not steal," but many would have the government re-distribute wealth and abolish private property across the board.

When the state, school, church, or society abandons its Biblical calling, it then seeks to establish an order of righteousness and holiness based on man's autonomy... Its quest is self-frustrating, and its conclusion is always confusion. (R.J. Rushdoony, Revolt Against Maturity, p.35)

Back in Eden, Satan asked, "Did God really say...?" And the first humans not only got God's words wrong, but then they decided to do things their own way and ruin everything. How far we've come, right?

If the Marines can't pull it off... Even with rigorous military control and precision, viruses are gonna virus: "Extreme enforcement of NPIs plus more frequent testing and isolation was associated with a greater degree of infection [and] did nothing to stop the virus... Lockdowns are pointlessly destructive. They do not manage the disease. They crush human liberty and produce astonishing costs, such as 5.53 million years of lost life from the closing of schools alone." But keep telling me how 100 days of sloppy cloth face masks and ruined livelihoods will magically make everything better in the civilian world.

The failure of the church: "The only way child sacrifice can remain legal in a state where 80 percent of the population professes to believe [the Truth of the Gospel] is if those Christians are failing to bring it into conflict with the culture of death." Mic drop. Why, why, why did so many of us go to church yesterday, January 24th, and hear not even a peep about the 48th anniversary of January 22nd, the Roe v. Wade decision? Why did virtually no pastors mention it? Why did we not speak up about it in fellowship? We need to repent.

Speaking of the American holocaust of unborn babies:

Americans want to go back to a “normal way of life,” but let me challenge you. The normal way of life was not all that great. People were still rude, still prideful, still shedding innocent blood, still sinning and still seeking self-gain. We do need change, but it is not money in your pocket or the life without masks and COVID19 restrictions I’m talking about. The change that we pastors, churches, evangelicals, and anyone who associates themselves with Christ need is a heart change. We need to repent... We need to weep in anguish and heartfelt agony to God for our slothfulness and laziness in the “Great Commission.” (Ben Brewer)

The American holocaust continues: Two days ago marked 48 years since the Roe v. Wade decision. Just in America, over 62 million babies have been murdered by their own mothers since 1973. Over 55,000 children have already been slaughtered since January 1st of this year... It's Sunday — did your church mark this bloody anniversary with a call to arms? If not, there's a lot of work to do to get priorities straight. Will you partner with your pastors and elders to do this?

But, what about 14 days to flatten the curve? Well, shoot. A mere three days into his "just 100 days" of masking campaign, President Biden now says "there is nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months." So, why are roving bands of professional hypocrites telling us to wear masks and inject rushed, largely experimental genetic vaccines into ourselves and our loved ones, again?

Which racism are you fighting? We Christians must clarify, define, and force the issue back to what I'd call "classical" racism: discriminating based on skin color is morally reprehensible. This must be contrasted with the absurd racism perpetrated by Black Lives Matter and similar agitators. Rather than judging what Person A (usually white) actually does or says, they look at the outcomes that have happened to Person B (usually not white) and reverse-engineer that to declare that somehow, in some nebulous fashion, Person A is racist.

I don't think that word means what you think it means: Governor Polis, in his ongoing spat with the Regional Transportation District, is quoted as saying he is committed to seeing that RTD's "sacred promise with taxpayers is kept." This man, who claims to have another man as his "husband," clearly doesn't know what the word "sacred" means. If he did, he wouldn't openly rebel against God's design for men, women, and marriage; and he would not openly support women murdering their own unborn children in the womb.

January 22, 2021

It's just 100 days: Back in December, Biden said, "Just 100 days to mask." Y'know, kinda like how we were told (310 days ago) that we just needed 14 days to "flatten the curve." I still have Pastor James White's sermon from January 10th rattling around in my brain, where he compared this kind of nonsense to King Darius's edict against praying to any god other than himself (Daniel 6). Every tyrant wants you to just play along with the lie for a little while. After all, it's "just" 100 days... or 30 days... or whatever.

Because tiny bags of peanuts aren't insulting enough: Biden signs mask mandate for commercial travel. Well, there ya go. I already was planning not to fly anytime soon because of idiotic mask requirements from airlines, but making this a federal issue pretty much clinches the deal. Of course, after travelers endure the next 12 to 18 months of this nonsense, the "solution" will be implemented. Just display your shiny new "digital health passport" QR code on your phone. It'll be great! It'll be like we live in China, where you can't walk out of your own neighborhood, enter a subway station, or go to the bank without showing your "health code" at every turn.

"Daddy, when will covid be gone?" Well, it's been 19 years since the silly "Shoe Bomber" incident, and you still have petty tyrants at the airport telling you to take off your shoes. And your belt... and your jacket... unless you're under 12 or over 75. Or if it's a lazy day and the trusty ol' metal detector seems to work just fine. But anyway, I'm pretty sure the coronavirus will never be "gone" from the world of security theater and political drama. It's just too darn useful for making people do dumb stuff. And even if it does go away, we'll still be surrounded by (and governed by) people who rebel against God and hate His law. We'll still have a regime over us that insists we believe, parrot, and even celebrate hateful lies... like calling the male Assistant Health Secretary a "she." Which means until we are gone or until Jesus comes back, the real issue is that we need to preach and spread the Gospel.
